Thing is he is very effective party leader, an excellent orator, and before being a politician was an economist. There is a reason Scotlands economy has been recovering better than Englands whilst retaining a public NHS, free tuition, free prescriptions, and free travel for the elderly anywhere in the country by bus, train or boat. And why inward investment is higher than at any point ever before.
Its because of this we put up with the fact he is also pompous, self loving, self important and can, on many an occasion, like today,make a complete arse of himself.

Andy Murray, a Scot, plays a home match in another country, in order to be crowned the British champion of the All English Club.
On a more typical English note, it only took the BBC's main 10 oclock news bulletin 7 minutes to get Englands 1966 world cup victory into their coverage of Murray's win. Unbelievable I had a quid on them getting it in within the first 5.
