Artisitc Merits

Nice! I like it. I really like the picture with the castle in shadow and the big moon too, very atmospheric.

It and the aurora one are inspired by playing too much Skyrim!

I'm not posting in here cause I am jealous of the amazing things you make and that you have time to make them.

One of the great advantages to rendering Amarie is whilst I might spend over a few days 2-6 hours creating and setting up a picture, the much longer bit-10-30 hours of rendering I can leave my pc to do whilst I'm at work or asleep.

Actually by far the most time consuming part is when you are learning the program- stuff it took me an hour to do when I started I can now do in 5 minutes.

For a moment I thought this was a photography thread! Great stuff, Petty! This one is my favorite but I like them all.

Thanks Eldo- heres some more- some studies in atmospherics. (If there any reposts apoligies- I forget what Ive put up and what Ive not- oh and if they are too big for your screen use ctrl - to shrink the screen till they fit and ctrl + to make it larger again).

Umm.... first we have Eldo out-writing me... Then we have you doing absolutely brilliant 'pictures' --- And Amarie out-subtling me! This just isn't fair...

I'm taking my cricket bat and going home....

The last one I can pick, but not the rest... I'm not looking again. I feel so inadequate just looking at them...

Look on the bright side- I make those pictures with the same programs I am using for the animated bits of your video! (And thats also one of the reasons its taking so long-rendering is sadly not a fst process- might take 24 hours to get a second or two of smooth animation.!)

Well, if this is any indication of what you might come up with, I'll grow some patience. In fact, I might let up on bothering you about it, as it's wrong to pester a great artist, what. Then again, I probably won't stop! Why would I? I only hope my song will stand up in worthy comparison!

Oh Mrs Figg, Orwell has similar feelings, but he has been deeply hurt by Petty's attitute on the matter and dare not mention it again. Orwell is what I think of as a Forumshire martyr - doing good to others but being abused and let down by far less generous and kind folk, especially Scosthobbits. He told be to tell you this.

Being mucking about with the pic you particulary liked Eldo so thought you might like to see its latest incarnation- its still a work in progress though.

It looks good. Out of curiosity, is that the Tower of Lore I spy there on the near mountain? The scene looks a little reminiscent of the "Welcome to Forumshire" video you made but I'm not quite sure.
