I'm curious though Eldo, what strikes your American eye as most noticably different (or odd) about our news compared to yours.

Your guys actually ask meaningful questions and seem to care about reporting facts instead of ratings and spectacle.

ABC calling West Virginia. No surprises there.

They mentioned North Carolina but I think that's still too close to call.

I prefer UK news Carly, I watch US news mainly as entertainment.
The amazing thing is that many people complain the BBC has dumbed down over the years and become to American in style.

South Carolina called for Romney! Seems in UK terms a 'safe seat' however.

South Carolina has historically been the quintessential conservative Southern state. It's about as safe as they come.

Another reason I like BBC more than US cable news: no advertisements and more importantly no corporate sponsors within the programs.

Just noticed that Obama is stong favourite in massachusetss- what did Romney do there??!?!

Updated the OP to reflect this. Some places are calling New Hampshire but that still seems too close. I went ahead and put Illinois in Obama's column though, it's safe and some places are reporting it.

Something of a fluke in a heavily Democratic state and he's not favorably remembered by a lot people.
