Otherwise, I'm with you all the way on Harry Potter. It's my favourite Fantasy series along with Narnia and LotR. I'm pretty sure that Potter will have the same sort of endurance as those classics and stand the test of time while other series fade into lost memories.

Yeah that's what bugs me with Beiber. He's too famous for me to even consider liking. If he was some ragged against the odds outcast, I'd like him more. It's not that I hate him himself, he conducts the media brilliantly for his age, but it's just all those girls...

Just got forced into seeing that Justin Beiber film. Would have preferred to see anything (even Paul) than watch that life story of a 16 year old kid! It's quite possibly the worst film I've ever seen- and I've seen those £1 DVDs from Pound shops!

Out of curiosity I tried to find our little forum with a google search- either I missed it or we are many pages in. We will need new members-otherwise since I joined we'd have missed such luminaries as Ally, Ringdrottten and Kafria (and others I'm prob forgetting for no other reason than crap memory). So how do we boost our recognition? I haven't much of a clue about this sort of thing but there must be a way. We need Tolkien fans to be able to find us.

I think our best bet would be to find a parent site who would have links to our forum, but I don't know how many Tolkien sites would want to be affiliated with an anarchic forum like this and/or don't already have forums of their own. We could as Taz, I suppose, but I don't know if he would want to have links to both his forum and ours.

While no one may come to the site specially for news, I think a sort of homepage/portal would be good. Just a place to direct people to if you know what I mean. I'd say an attractive homepage, maybe with different sections to different things i.e Petty's newspapers would attract more people. I'd say there are no other sites like this site. The mix of humour/world affairs/Tolkien discussion is probably unique! People won't come for news as I said- but they might come for this. So I'd say there should be a sort of contest, to design a nice logo for the site, and then a splash page to direct people to the site!
