I suppose this is more of a question rather than a complaint. I wrote a PM and it still sits in the outbox over one hour later. When does the mail hobbit make his (or her) rounds in Forumshire? Shrugging

I think if you've addressed it to someone in particular, they have to open it for it to clear from your Outbox. But Eldo or Petty might correct me on that. I know I'm slack reading mine. I just don't often think to look up at the Messages icon up the top for some reason. I know for a fact Odo, Wisey, Janesmith, Biffo, Mirabella and Porgy are as slack as I am. Very Happy

Noticed my PM left the outbox after about 3-4 hours. Heck if I know if it was read or not at that moment, but I doubt it. Wink

Apparently I have assistants who fetch my mail and such so I am sure I have my own people to blame.

Orwell is right, the outbox holds messages that haven't been read yet. You can also edit those messages even after sending them until they've been read. Also, if anyone doesn't always notice PMs, you can set your profile to send you an e-mail notification whenever they arrive. Smile

Without knowing who she is or when this happened, my best guess is that whoever you sent the PM to had opted to hide their name from the list of online users. There are a few regulars here who do that. Mods can see them but I won't name names out of respect for privacy. Wink

Sadly, no...

I have a big complaint btw. My computer wanted to do one of those computer check things and I had to keep clicking "postpone for 10 minutes" every so often. I was happily assisting Anon (quite closely) with the next Episode of "Trebinzinite" and forgot 'just once' to click the postpone button... You know it... Anon and I lost an hour's worth of work on a (potentially) brilliant Episode! I guess Anon should do his stuff on a Word doc first - but I know he'll never learn. Hasty chap. Too hasty, too impatient, has to write stuff directly into a post as it comes... I guess he deserved what he got...
