Huzzah! I Norced. My it feels good. It tingles my toes, it makes my lower intestine gurgle, it picks and flicks a particularly satisfying bogie, it burps a profound and resounding belch. Ah me.

just for 'fun' I spent the last 3 hours filling out an application to study an MA at Oxford University. Its beyond difficult and is sliding rapidly into scary territory. what the heck was I thinking? dunno. You have to submit essays and stuff, and 'stuff' aint going to cut it. It was 10 years ago I last wrote an essay, I cant even write a shoping list. Bugger. oh and I need 3 referees to send an on line reference, will any of you lot do the honours? only dont tell them about my poo adventures in France will you?

Not so much crabbit as very sad. two of my cats died. They caught parvo from a cat shelter where one of them had been sterilized. She gave the rest this terrible disease. The kitten died yesterday and the older one today. Cant take much more of this nightmare. I had 8 cats and I am dreading them all getting sick. Its extremely contagious, and I have had to use bleach everywhere and throw shoes away. Its a bit like foot & mouth, its spread on shoes if you tread in the feces. and can last in the ambient for months.

So sorry Mrs Figg. My heart goes out to you. I dearly hope you dont have to endure any more losses and the rest stay well and safe.

That's so sad. Watching a kitten is one of the few things that can make me believe in a benevolent creator. They're just too perfect.

Ice is making me crabbit. Everywhere here is covered in ice.
First it snowed, but not proper snow, just an inch or so of rubbish snow you cant even make proper snowballs out of.
Then it got mild in the evening and there was a fine drizzle, then the temperature plummeted and everything froze solid with a coating of surface ice.
Like a skating rink everywhere.

Why is it when youre a kid a garden path covered in ice is something to run at and slide along and when your older its a potential deathtrap you dont know how to approach?

i feel with you.. been icy here and no snow for like weeks.. some places inland and up they had 30 below.. (celsius), here it has been around 10, but we're lucky, since we're near the coast, it never gets extremely cold, but in valleys and inland, that's another story for once they southern parts has colder weather

Snow I can cope with, lots of rain- no problem, thats a good day. Cold and clear- perfectly acceptable. But bloody ice over everything!

But you would still cross the grinding ice for a buckie, I assume?

What burns my toast (at least the edges) is when ice makes me fall and people laugh but no one will believe that I meant to fall.

strap some "Brillo Pads" to the soles of yer shoes,that'l stop you going over !
(I could say, a couple of hedgehogs, but I love animals to much!!)
