Amarie's A before P is a good one too. Although night spans both PM and AM, usually. The sun sets in the PM but it doesn't rise until the AM. It's probably different north of the Arctic Circle though.

They're both kinda easy once you wrap your head around the basic concepts. Here's what I propose as the basic concepts:

1. Guys are rarely mean, just clueless.

Anytime you feel a boy has done something that hurts you, first see if you can explain it by the concept that he's got no idea....about anything. Then it might be nice to explain it to HIM. This may take several tries, but he'll be grateful. If he even understands what you're saying. We're basically sweet creatures at heart, we just don't know how to do it right sometimes.

2. The best model to understand us is your dog.

Food, sex, sleep. (drink goes with food). That's all you need to analyze our behavior. We haven't got the brainpower to be more complicated than that. Oh sure, we'll have our bursts of creativity and what passes for deep philosophical thought, but it's really all just on the surface. Food, sex, sleep. You'll just get yourself all twisted up in knots trying to apply deeper motives to anything we do.

So that's it. Hope it proves useful. Women are ever so much more complicated, and more worthy of the quantum mechanics thread. I'd love it if one the gals tried to explain themselves to the rest of us.

I don't see acceleration being negative, oh wow, you got lucky. You got V and Vo reversed, which would reverse the sign on acceleration and make things work out, except that you may lose points for having the numbers for V and Vo reversed.

Now if you really want to impress the teacher, take that first equation and solve it for Vo before you put in any numbers. (and leave it as Vo, don't change it to x). This will be important in college when, surprise surprise, they may not give you any numbers!

and oh, the creative outbursts are just like your dog being playful. It's all just for fun.

You've been around here long enough to know that Halfwise is making an understatement when he says "some".

My personal philosophy when dealing with the opposite sex has always been simply to endeavor to treat everyone as human beings. I grew up around a lot of girls and women both in terms of family and friends, though, so I never felt particularly mystified by them.

When most of your friends and almost all of the adult figures in your life for years on end are female, you learn to pick up on a lot of things without even trying. I'm not even saying that's a good thing but it's just how things turned out when I was younger. :/

Ah yes but presumably you werent having 'relations' with any of those said females, thats when things start to get unfathomable- although the shocking truth is women are not complicated at all they are just barkingly bonkers and that sometimes can give the illusion of depth.

I can't comment on what it's like as an adult, but as a teenager being in relationships I was still able to make good use of the general interpersonal skills I learned as a kid, though obviously things change when you're in a relationship and as you get older. Still, I've come to the conclusion both from my own experience and from listening to others that the sort of guy who still complains about how all women are incomprehensible once he's older than ~16 is either (a) joking, or (b) destined to be forever alone. Not to say there aren't rough patches in relationships, I know that, but I also know people who will completely unironically talk about how they'll never understand someone with a vagina. To that I can only say...

Vaginas are not the problem Eldo (except once a month)- its their ability to think several moves ahead in several different complicated mind games you dont even know you are playing (until you lose- as by the time you realise you are even playing she is already moving her Queen in for checkmate-this is why you often see husbands accompanying their wives to events wearing a slightly confused, stunned expression- thats because they are not quite sure how they go there when they could have sworn they had arrnaged to spend the day at the footy with their mates).

Oh in my long years Eldo a barrel and infinite supply of buckie has turned a few heads- problem is eventually they start becoming completely irrational and crazy making absurd demands like, "Why dont you try getting up before noon" or "Dont you think you've drank enough?" and "You should have more than one kilt to wear then you could maybe wash that one once a century, or burn it!"- completely unreasonable behaviour I am sure you will agree, and utterly unfathomable.

I can't improve on Petty's two last posts.
