AM is before noon, PM is after noon. At midnight it switches back.

yes, seriously Ally. Don't laugh! here midnight is 24 or 00, then it goes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, and then again 24. much easer. e.g 5pm is 17.00.

When I was a kid I remembered it as "After Midnight" and "Pre-Midnight".

We have 24 hour time here too but its not widely used outside of the military. Its definitely more intuitive, though.

Depends on when you wake up, which may depend on how much bucky you've had.

You guys actually say it's twenty-two o'clock? or do you go military and say twenty-two hundred?

no.. we say ten o'clock...though sometime I refer to eight, six and seven as 20, 18 and 19 so that isn't mixed up with early mornings.

There's a rule of buckie might help Norc.

If you havent been to sleep yet and it is AM- then youve sat up all night getting drunk again.
If you wake up and its AM - then its far too early in a civilised buckie drinking world to get out of bed yet.
Everything else is PM.
