Hopefully some of the US citizens can help me out here as I only caught a bit of a report about some outrage stateside at gay computer game characters? Sure I must have missed something, we have gay peope in real life, in book, on TV and in film. Why on earth would they not be in games? Or am I missing something?

It's probably about EA's «Star Wars: The Old Republic» and «Mass Effect 3»
Read about a while back. It's damaging for the kids to be exposed to gay characters. And a evil lesbian/gay conspiracy is behind it.

I shouldnt be suprised mind you given how Fox News treated the original ME game- this is equally parts ignorant as it is frightening. How can Fox have a discussion when almost nobody knows anything about the subject and all their facts are wrong? I mean there is sloppy journalism and lazy journalism, and then there is Fox.



Think my favourite bit is the guy who describes ME as 'Luke Skywalker meets Debbie Does Dallas'.

Watched a doc umentary about homophobic southern Americans- had an unintentionally funny bit that I have been laughing at ever since. Love Americans. Was some Texan type rantng about the gays, about God hates them blah de blah. And he came out withthe immortal line "There is no place for gays under the star spangled banner". All I could hear in my head was a very camp voice saying "Ooooh I've got some sprakles will go with that."

A man from Norway has convicted to seven years in prison because he got lost and the police overreacted.. LOL. poor bloke. They have to get him out. the car is aparently deadly weapon and therefor he was a danger ?

he didn't hurt anyone, but he himself got a broken nose and his mother was dragged out of the car.. geezz... he just got lost.

I've spent quite a bit of time with the Amish. Very interesting culture, very clear eyed about their part in the world. But every culture has it's fetishes....look for the beard cutting to be a jumping off point for a comic movie in the next few years. I could wish for an amusing documentary along the lines of Cane Toads, but the Amish are far too wise about the ways of the mass media to allow themselves to be captured on film.

How did he break his nose? 7 years for getting lost seems a little harsh! Must be your govt worried folks will find out about the trolls if they just wander about lost.

they attacked him. the people or the police (can't remember). they probably found it suspicious him just driving around. and since a car is a murder weapon according to USA, he was charged of being a threat to the people (including two children, which only made it worse)
