Thanks so much, everyone! I expect the story will pick up and start moving a bit quicker in the next chapter. And hopefully no one will take their portrayals too seriously.

And yes, Orwell, this is an alternate Forumshire. After all, in the real one Pretty and Mirabella are still at large and pocket-crossbows seem not to have been invented yet.

A chaperone is someone who accompanies and looks after other people (usually younger people) to make sure they aren't doing anything that they shouldn't be doing. I'm not sure which website Odo has been visiting though, since I think mine is pretty tame (and not updated in a while; this site has been taking up more of my time ).

NB I just noticed that you have a blog too! I hadn't noticed that before. And I like your avatar, that was a great scene and the look on Sherlock's face is just perfect given your previous avatar.

thanks for clearing that up, bot of you Well.. I don't think I need one (I have som skill with the blade). The site was tame, no offence it was very interesting, though not in the way Orwell here was suggesting

I know right, it just had to be it x) Bened-I mean Sherlock Holmes, that scene and that face! I just love the picture, makes me smile every time I see it. I love making faces like that so another bonus x)

Oh Eldo's site! I had forgotten about it. I visited back when I had just joined Forumshire. I thought it was a nice little site, and I was glad to get to know Eldo a bit more.

((Then I walked into the refugee conversation and quietly left, thinking I didn't need to read the things that were said in (semi) private back then, and that the natives would probably feel I was snooping around. (Even if it was an accident.) Such sad times it was. ))

wasn't threatening. Just said I didn't need one cuz I can look after myself. Though I don't think Eldo is very dangerous

I liked Elf of Rivendell. Rivendell or Grey Havens. But perhaps our titles will become clear as day as 'the mystery of mr Figgs' unfolds. Come on, Eldo! Your fans are waiting!

I seriously considered deleting that thread once we had established this forum since it contains a lot of things that were said in the heat of passion. We were all feeling pretty confused and betrayed and more than a little angry, and I realize we weren't entirely fair to the DP especially since Taz was the only one who even knew about the buyout. In the end I decided to leave it up as part of Forumshire's history, though, even though I knew people might see it. I don't think it's worth trying to cover up stuff from darker times.

NB I'm glad people seem to be reading and enjoying my site still.

Sadly the mystery of your titles has a much simpler explanation. They're part of an idea I had a long time ago that was one of the first things I implemented once I became admin and was able to. Everyone is free to request their own custom title if they want, though. The original plan was to have that be a reward for reaching 500 posts but in practice that has never been enforced.

Also, I have a mostly open day today so I will do my best to get some good writing done and post an update soon. In the meantime, I've added a table of contents to the opening post so hopefully it will be easier to find each installment amidst all the comments and discussion.
