gosh I am honoured to have such delightful detectives in my emporium, I hope they dont leave nose hairs in the bath though. I wonder if there will be any Viking related romances between agent Nora and the sarge herring?

Thanks so much, everyone! Very Happy I expect the story will pick up and start moving a bit quicker in the next chapter. And hopefully no one will take their portrayals too seriously. Laughing

And yes, Orwell, this is an alternate Forumshire. After all, in the real one Pretty and Mirabella are still at large and pocket-crossbows seem not to have been invented yet. Mad

A chaperone is someone who accompanies and looks after other people (usually younger people) to make sure they aren't doing anything that they shouldn't be doing. I'm not sure which website Odo has been visiting though, since I think mine is pretty tame (and not updated in a while; this site has been taking up more of my time Razz).

NB I just noticed that you have a blog too! I hadn't noticed that before. And I like your avatar, that was a great scene and the look on Sherlock's face is just perfect given your previous avatar. Very Happy

I do like the Avatar, Norc. Cool!

{{{A "chaperone" is a person who escorts young people - a young woman or girl and a young man or boy, generally - when they go out together or meet, this so nothing naughty or improper can occur between them without an adult being present to stop such impropriety. To be un-chaperoned is to meet someone without a third party being present to keep things 'proper.' The joke is, 'be careful going to Eldo's place' (his 'website' that is, but this being Forumshire, 'his place') without a third party being there to ensure you keep your (in this case, 'netospheric') hands off each other.}}}

Oh Eldo's site! I had forgotten about it. I visited back when I had just joined Forumshire. I thought it was a nice little site, and I was glad to get to know Eldo a bit more. Smile

{{{Don't want to scare you, Amarie, but I have a genuine financial interest in Forumshire! I seriously considered deleting that thread once we had established this forum since it contains a lot of things that were said in the heat of passion. We were all feeling pretty confused and betrayed and more than a little angry, and I realize we weren't entirely fair to the DP especially since Taz was the only one who even knew about the buyout. In the end I decided to leave it up as part of Forumshire's history, though, even though I knew people might see it. I don't think it's worth trying to cover up stuff from darker times.

NB I'm glad people seem to be reading and enjoying my site still. Very Happy

Sadly the mystery of your titles has a much simpler explanation. Smile They're part of an idea I had a long time ago that was one of the first things I implemented once I became admin and was able to. Everyone is free to request their own custom title if they want, though. The original plan was to have that be a reward for reaching 500 posts but in practice that has never been enforced. Laughing

Also, I have a mostly open day today so I will do my best to get some good writing done and post an update soon. Very Happy In the meantime, I've added a table of contents to the opening post so hopefully it will be easier to find each installment amidst all the comments and discussion. study
