Lions of England!

'Police launched the big game hunt after shocked caravanner Sue Wright, 58, showed them these pictures on Sunday evening.
Like others who saw the animal lying in a field at St Osyth, Essex, she was certain what she had snapped was a large lioness.
And she said officers looking at the images on her camera told her: “That’s definitely not a domestic animal.”
Experts from Colchester Zoo were called in. And they, too, thought it could be a lion.
Police chiefs sent in a helicopter, at least one marksman and 30 officers to search for the animal — and warned scared locals to stay inside.
Zoo workers said to be armed with tranquiliser guns joined the hunt.
But it was abandoned late yesterday after less than 24 hours.
Cops said they had found no paw prints, droppings or anything else suggesting a lion’s presence.'- The Sun

Did she accidentally run those pictures through the Monet filter on her computer before she went to the police? Suspect

It is a well known law of nature that suspicous unknown animals, aliens and Nessie only appear to people incapable of taking photographs or who only have a crap camera. Nod

Space pictures and electron microscope pictures are almost always photoshopped to hell and back before they're put in press releases so I don't find this too surprising. None of those pictures would even be in color if they hadn't been retouched.

Our aggressive universe in action!

'A young star and its
planet-forming cloud are being pulled towards the huge black hole at the
centre of our galaxy, astronomers say.Like other galaxies, the Milky Way hosts a black hole, known as Sagittarius A* (SgrA*), at its centre.SGrA* dislodged the star from its original orbit within a ring of young suns circling the black hole. The disc of gas and dust will be devoured before it can evolve into a solar system.'- BBC

Um, that black hole looks fake. I think it's where they masked out a very bright star to help get the image. I'm pretty sure if that's supposed to be the one at the center of the galaxy it would be obscured by other stars in front of it.

I don't think they sent a photographer out to get a snap- I assume its highlighting the dust cloud involved and where the black hole is. Either that or the universe looks exactly like God put it together in photoshop.

Hi Leelee,
Please allow me to jump in for Petty. The Tardis is Dr Who's time and space travel vehicle. It's huge on the inside, but on the outside it's only as big as a 1950's police call box. (The reason for that is apparently that it was once upon a time able to masquerade as almost anything to blend in with the local landscape, but it got "stuck" as a call box.)

Petty can give you many more details of course, but that should help for now....

Edit: that's it in the background.

Good work Dave, although you missed that TARDIS is an acronymn for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space.
And that the Doctors Tardis is a type-40- and was therefore already an old museum piece when the Doctor stole it/got stolen by her.
TARDIS's have an artificial but sentient intelligence and most of the controls are partly run by telepathy between the TARDIS and its pilots (there is supposed to be a main pilot and 5 others)- this is why the Doctor spends so much time running about the console lilke a madman- hes doing the work of 6 pilots.
TARDIS are also grown as opposed to manufactured- although components are manufactured and added in- they grow from crystals- hence the crystal like reoccuring patterns in interior TARDIS design.

levitating drops is technically sweet but not surprising. Like the firenado it's something I wouldn't have thought about myself, but once done it's an 'oh, yeah!' type of thing. nice demos.
