A film about a middleclass quiz show with only specialised questions aimed at university degree students? They made a film out of that?!

I prefferred the Young Ones take on it.

(ps the opening joke- it starts in the middle of it for some reason) is about the name Bamber Gasgoine- in the Young ones version they say he played Bambi in the Disney films- after that he went on a downward career trajectory doing wildlife porn and ending up hosting University Challenge!)

That was great! I want to know how it ends! And Catherine Tate was in it as well!

Petty had posted a bunch of videos to celebrate the start of series 2 in the UK in the very beginning of January and I decided to give it a shot then. Very Happy I think the Fjordlandian broadcast of Sherlock was a few weeks later. Wink

He hasn't succeeded at getting me into Who yet, though.- Eldorion

Whats this I found then? eh? Answer me that?

"I watched all of The Eleventh Hour last night after Petty gave me the complete working link and I actually really liked it!..I enjoyed what I saw.- Eldo

ps a minimum of 6 Who episodes or ideally 1 series of 13 should be watched before deciding if Who is for you, and by then it will be. Nod

I've watched some Who, yes. I know I've mentioned that I really enjoyed Blink and Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead even more than The Eleventh Hour. I haven't finished a season though, much less three seasons or whatever Norc is up to now. Razz

you should start with the best first namely Eccky the 9th Doctor, it slowly goes downhill from there until you reach rocky bottom with Asylum of the Daleks. s'no point you starting with the dregs now is it?

Ignore everything Mrs Figg says Eldo- she is ill, deluded and fixated on northern english men (assuming you are not you will no doubt join the millions worldwide who appreciate the wonderful Doctor of Matt Smith- easily the best Doctor of NuWho and the only one of them that can really stand shoulder to shoulder with the first 5 Doctors).

Sorry for hijakcking your Sherlok thread Norc- um, its really good too.

Doctor Who is on my list of things to watch, but unfortunately there's a lot of stuff ahead of it. When I do watch more I'll be sure to let you guys know what I think, though. Wink

And I enjoyed Tennant more than Smith from what I've seen of him so far, though I liked both and saw a lot of similarities in their performances and the writing of the character. I haven't seen any Eccleston yet.

Edit: Tom Baker was good too but he's the only Classic Doctor I've seen yet.
