Youtube tailors what it lines up for you based on your history, so we wouldn't have the same thing line up for us.

I am lacking the energy to see if anyone else has commented already, but I binge watched Star Trek: Picard this week.

I am not sure about it.

I think I enjoyed it in general but not because it was Star Trek. It could have been anything else but just happened to label people and things Star Trek a lot.

Might need some more time to process it... maybe see if there is a season 2 and where it goes.

Haven't see Picard yet, not sure if I really need any more Star Trek.

Hey Figgs, what's your opinion on Detective Montalbano? I'm quite fond of it. The Italians have a finely tuned sense for personal drama.

Montalbano is a big deal here, but I don't really watch Italian dramas because they get too..er..dramatic. Laughing

I do watch 'Un passo del cielo' which is set in Alto Adige on the Braies lake, its so beautiful it makes me cry. Its Tolkien taken to the max x 100.

Other than the landscapes it doesn't seem very Tolkien.

Babylon Berlin, 4th Episode. We get the night club back - will this be every second episode? It was brief, but really defines the allure of the whole series.

Ah, end of episode 5. Nice bit of free flowing decadence. Happy sigh.

Thing is, since Cabaret came out and introduced the world to pre-war Berlin, nothing else has touched it. BB is providing very satisfying glimpses.

I don't know about you Halfy, but I think they have almost captured the smells of the era as well.

Yes - one the critiques of cabaret from somebody who was involved in the original creation is that it didn't get across the poverty and desperation of the era. BB is doing a good job with that.

Not really warming up to that.

This however looks fun. Laughing
(I just have to figure out how to watch it without buying yet another damn subscription).

Just finished the 6th episode of season 3 of Babylon Berlin. Its fab. Razz

I watched the film The Favourite, the one which got loads of gongs. I found it to be a boring over-rated pile of crap. It was depressing and nasty. avoid.

Last night I watched 'Grayson's Art Club' on Channel 4. It made me very happy. Razz

Also being doing some vicarious cruising with Jane McDonald, I don't like the idea of going on a cruise, but I like her happy and joyous personality. She goes to some spectacular countries.

Just started to watch The Mandalorian yesterday, first 4 episodes done.

It's not revolutionary television by any means but it is quite enjoyable serialised TV and it actually feels like Star Wars!

it would be nice to watch a Star Wars production and feel like you're watching Star Wars. Too many disappointments recently.

No. Not willing on principle to pay the subscription for one show only. I'm expecting it will eventually leak out to more general services.

I suppose I could pay for one month and binge watch.
