that's a different cat. Actually seems cool with it. (maybe the water's warmer?)

Re: Just...................whatever
Just been on a marathon of Doris Day movies. I really like her, she really was a good actor, charismatic too. Some of her films are fun to watch and comfort food. my favourites are Pillow Talk with Rock Hudson, Midnight Lace which is a thriller, and the brilliant Hitchcock film The Man Who Knew Too Much. I hadn't watched them since I was a kid, but they stand up very well, apart from the early 60s view about women and marriage in particular, which I can easily overlook as the movies are charming to watch. They have really lost the art of lovely charming comedies these days. I also love to see the cars and decor.

I find movies from the 50's and early 60's to be more dated than movies from the 30's and 40's. Women seemed to be tougher and more independent in the war years.

yes on reflection that is true, dont know why but the 50s seemed to be the age of the housewife and apple pie and all that stuff. Guess that's why the groovy chicks in the Swinging Sixties rebelled.

I liked her too. She was so bubbly and cheerful that it made you cheerful also. The song " move over darling" is synonymous with Doris Day for me. I watched a tv prog about her and I think she had a tough life.

Miss sunshine had a hard life? I suppose in many cases happiness is more intrinsic to a person than to their life. I know I tend to radiate happiness for no apparent reason, and lord knows she sure did.

Just posting because for some reason I thought Jane Goodall was dead. Thrilled to find out she's not: she's been my secret crush through most of my life.

Well, if anyone wondered what a secret agent does during their down time, I reckon it might be something like this.

I've been through a couple small earthquakes. You're kinda wondering if anything happened or if it was in your head, then you find out later it was an earthquake. Everything just kinda goes blurry for a few seconds and you can almost see the question marks floating above people's heads.

Not a fan of the sensation myself. Hopefully I get out of here before the big one hits.
