{{ Always loved this little scene from Sarah Jane Adventures, the 11th Doctor has a heart to heart with Jo Grant who was a companion to the 3rd Doctor. Written by RTD, one of the things I like is the idea that 10 didnt just look back over his own run of companions, but all companions to that point. Makes it seem less self indulgent than it originally seems and I'm glad RTD added it. Plus its just a lovely scene. }}

The week of broadcast ISIS beheaded Uk captives and uploaded it to the net. And the BBC decided that maybe having a teatime decapitation in family friendly Who was in somewhat bad-taste. So removed the scene, with the finished version going to the fight above the vat without the beheading first.
Unfortunately, whilst it may have been tactful at the time, I wish theyd restore it now, as without it we lose the rather crucial information to the story that the Sherriff was also part robot. }}

Well yes, you can see why showing Dr Who with heads rolling about would be considered far too sensitive. When the sheriff got his head back reminded me of the scene from the Johnny Depp film "Sleepy Hollow" when Christopher Walken got his head back

{{ I wonder if he will come back for the 60th on TV now? Or if that will still be a step too far for him. BF gets its licence to produce Who based material from the BBC, but its not owned by or paid for, or run by the BBC. And it seems its not just some of the original production team his issues were with, but how the BBC as an instituition briefed against him within the industry and press after he had left the role. But you never know, he nearly bit for the 50th afterall.}}

From 50 seconds in (avoids preamble) to 20 minutes into it this video covers the episode Orphan 55, and breaks down perfectly all thats wrong.
The last 20 mins of the vid is about the rest of the series and overall Chibbers and its worth a watch if you have time but just the episode coverage will show you in plain terms that were probably understating just how bad Chibbers Who is. }}

And that's just the stuff we definitely know about, Big Finish have implied he's recorded a few other things as well... I think it's highly likely he's also been able to record more stories with Catherine Tate/Billie Piper during the lockdown, maybe they can get him together with Freema Agyeman or Bernard Cribbins for a set.

They've recently hired John Culshaw as a recast to voice The Brigadier, so I think it won't be long before Big Finish do a story with 10 and The Brigadier (IIRC this was actually supposed to happen on TV during Series 4, but Nicholas Courtney was ill at the time so the storyline was dropped). Big Finish has done a few stories with Georgia Moffett reprising her TV role as 'The Doctor's Daughter' and Tennant had a cameo in one of them, I guess Big Finish will try and pair the two character up again properly at some point (and as Tennant and Moffett are married to each other, it would probably be easier to schedule than some of the casts they have).

{{ Its not unusual in polling of favourite Doctors for whoever the current one is to be near the top or at it. That tends to fade with time- note how bar Tennant, 3rd and fourth are the two doctors before Jodie.

But thats a weird poll result beyond that. McCann for example rating 7th when he only appeared in one part US made 'tv movie'. It could be BF fans bolstering his numbers but I'd be suprised in that if there were enough of them. And Eccleston only getting 1% of the vote is weird too- you only need to look at the warmth and joy fans greeted the news he would return to the role finally for BF to see how much he was liked.

And Id take any poll that has Jodie on top with a huge shovel full of salt given her constantly sliding viewing figures, awful merchandise sales and divisiveness (her last series is sitting at a lousy 16% viewer rating on Rotten Tomatoes, her debut series is at 20% - that seems closer to reflecting the viewing figures and fan complaints). }}

It is probably Chibnalls's mates and family doing the voting. Or kids. Adults seem to loathe fake Jodie Doctor.

They are no longer owned by the BBC or are their official lisitng magazine but thats more to do with lisence fee politics than anything else, but they still dont like upsetting the BBC from whom they stll get a large chunk, if not the bulk of their content from. }}
