In my defense, I was limited to using the Internet on my phone this weekend, and all of the text underneath people's avatars is really tiny on my phone screen. 
EDIT: I'm less than 50 away from 40,000 combined posts from all my Tolkien forums since December 2008, though that's not as fun cause I don't get to actually see the nice round number except in Excel.

I think that's what people have missed with the rise of the interactivity of the internet. The old sitting in your basement playing computer games throwing your life away stigma still relates to computer activity, but today you can be almost as social online as anywhere. More and more of real life takes place online, for better or worse. So, I don't think it sad at all.
