Doesn't have the ghostbusters sense of humor. Won't work.

{{ The Wheel of Time is out soon, TV, I assume. Ive never read the book series its based on, bu my good friend and very occasional visitor to Forumshire Nagual is, a huge fan. So I will either be relying on him for how well it does capturing the books, or better force or blackmail him into writing a review for here, and I'll be looking at it from the non-book point of view for once. }}

haven't read the books so I appreciate that the second trailer outlines the plot.  The first trailer shows the production values are pretty high.

Only complaint - everyone seems scrubbed pretty pink.  That's one thing PJ got right: put some grittiness in there.

wowzer that looks GOOD!! cheers  me likey. I love the score, and the production looks like its set half in Middle Earth and half in GOT. But as Halfy said, less gritty and muddy. This is Game Of Thrones set in Harrods department store, jewel colours and lots of silks, so maybe add a splash of Chinese warrior films like 'Hero' and 'Crouching Tiger' in the mix too. cant wait. I haven't read the book so don't know how close it is.

Hmm, good point that most asian action films are pretty scrubbed down too. I guess I don't notice because they tend to have more flowers and bamboo, so doesn't feel as gritty. Spiff up the background and scrub down the actors.

I admire how Pixar manages to put in so much realistic detail yet never loses the feeling of being a cartoon. The spaceship looks real yet rattles like a toy spaceship on takeoff. Amazing attention to nuance.

I hardly watch any TV anymore, but you've just reminded me I have the first book in the series lying around somewhere and never got round to reading it...

Wasn't sure at first that Don't Look Up was a comedy. I'm wondering how well it works because in the clips it seems a little off, but it's really hard to tell with comedy.

Since I'm not familiar with the source material, I thought it looked good. I'll watch what made it onscreen: 10 episodes. That's enough to judge it's quality independent of the source material. Did you watch any of if Chris? How was it?

Sure it is. 10 episodes can have a lot of good stuff. Like Firefly.

Reminds me of Conan the Barbarian, but set in Viking times.
