Congrats on the sequential post count, az!
I've been looking forward to Dunkirk for a while now. Looks really good so far.

Is it just my sleepy self, or does Revolt look embarrassingly bad?

Why a computer voice narration?

Re: Future releases [2]
The Black Panther we got to know from the Avengers film so no surprise there but, looks like we get more back story in this film. Any time I see Andy Serkis I think of King Kong now & I think "cheese", sorry, but I do.
Robots scare my breath away. Ever since Robocop Ive had the willies about them & Dr Who's Daleks haven't helped ! But, this looks an interesting film & I'd watch it. Predator ? Arnie revived again ? Surely it wont be a big part, just a 10minute walk on ? I loved him in the 1st Predator, he was so right for that film I thought but, he's a little older & full on action films are gonna be a bit too much now ? He was CGI'd in Terminator so I'm guessing a bit part or CGI again in this one.

Re: Future releases [2]
Yeah Predator came out 30 years ago now. It's older than I am. I didn't watch the trailer, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if there were any action scenes in which he was CGI'd.
I really like the original Predator. The premise is hugely entertaining: that a crack team of mercenaries are brought into to the jungle, kick some butt, and then encounter a creature that proceeds to hunt them down. It's good science fiction, but I think the movie works well on a primal level. There's one incredible wide-shot towards the end where Arnold's character ("Dutch", I looked it up) is standing on a fallen tree with a torch or something. It stood out to me when I watched the movie for the first time a couple years ago as a great illustration of man's place amidst the savagery of nature.

{{ I saw it at the cinema! Though we were underage as I think it was an 18 and I was only 15
Its a brilliantly directed action film (except for the scene where they attack the enemy camp that's a bit messy and out of tone with the rest as it was shot by someone else. }}}

Would love to see this in 3d cos the FX look amazing. Most cinema's around here seem to have stopped showing 3d for some reason.
2d it is then

Probably because the last great proponent of 3D was the Hobbit movies, and they were ignoble. Maybe Valerian can resurrect what The Hobbit killed.

Just seems funny to make films in 3D when there's nowhere to watch it.

Re: Future releases [2]
{{{{ Saw the Lego Batman movie- in 3D (my local cinema doesnt do 3D so I am very lucky I can watch stuff in 3d on the VR headset).
Overall its a lot of fun- gets way to schmaltzy for my tastes by the end. Wasn't as spectacular looking for some reason as I expected even though its still full of big actions sequences but it does mainly concentrate on the characters. More so than many blockbusters with actual real people in them!
One of the better Batman films Ive seen in recent years, even if it is in Lego- but maybe its my crabbit but I preferred Batman at the start of the film when he is an egomaniac loner to the more touchy-feely version by the end. I could have had a whole film of that Batman no problem }}}

If I had not seen the first "oh my gawd the world is gonna blow up !" film, I might have thought it looked interesting, but, it looks to me like a rehash of whats gone before.

{{Don't think Ive ever heard of a 2d film converted to 3d that actually worked and doesn't make you eyes feel like they are trying to escape your head whilst staring in two different directions I dont know why they keep trying- if it was not filmed with 3d cameras, if it was not shot and directed for the purpose of viewing in 3d- what the buggery is the point of converting it to 3d? }}}
