it only cost 3 pounds a year to join the Labour party. that's a bargain.
btw the root canal wasn't really anything special, people make it out to be something horrible but it was reasonably ok. nothing worse than an ordinary filling, but with extra long drilly bits.

Re: Just...................whatever [7]
My favorite story from LotR filming is when Billy Boyd got a horrible toothache and had to got to the dentist to have it drilled and filled while in full costume. Well, he had to do some dialogue that afternoon, so requested no anesthesia. They said ok, but it was really going to hurt. So they did it, and he sweated so much his feet fell off. Then they had to glue them back on, which was a couple hour's process so they changed the schedule and he missed filming the scene anyway.

So Figgs, I hope your feet didn't fall off!

I didn't have anesthetic either. My feet didn't fall off. the dentist, an Italian, said he wouldn't give me one because I didn't need it and then approached me with a large drill. I nearly gave him some Mancunian lip, I said 'you what?' but thought that might not be wise considering the size of the drill. as it turns out the tooth was dead so I didn't feel a thing. which is nice.

Re: Just...................whatever [7]
Me & Gabry Ponte, a keyboard player from Eiffel 65
Mimmo a music producer.
The view from a very tall tower called the Mole Antonelliana.
My view of the Mole from my window.
These 2 are twins & were so friendly & helpful. They ran a coffee shop from 6AM till 10PM every day. Me & my daughter would pop in every day for meals
Me wandering thru the shopping arcade on a sultry evening. Shops kept open till 10PM & it smelt so fragrant & people were so calm & polite
This guy was just so happy Italy had won the World Cup shows how long ago this photo was taken
I thought Id share my moment in time mainly because in the vid Chris posted there was a snippet of "Blue" by Eiffel 65, an Italian band who had a few hits, a few albums etc. Well, my daughter & me decided to go to Italy & seek them out, which we did. They were shocked that anyone in the UK even knew who they were & we spent many happy visits seeing them They had recording studios in Torino & the city itself is beautiful, I'm so glad we went & its a warm, happy memory I can have all my life.

{{{ You've got a firm grip on that music producer, did he get away unscathed?
I shall have to ask my better half (and I do mean better in every way) if she knows of this Eiffel 65 lot. }}}

Re: Just...................whatever [7]
We were having a giggle at his understanding of English jokes My daughter has more photo's than I do as most of them she took Turin is lovely. I got to see the Turin shroud & even tho the one on display was a replica it really takes your breath away. The original is squirreled away & only comes out every so many years to be viewed by the public, or so I was told. Petty, ask your better half if she knows of Superga ? its beautiful

Funny how music can rekindle old memories. Every time i hear Enola Gay it reminds me of the last Christmas i had in England. It was always on the jukebox in the pubs. Happy days.

Chicory Tip " Son of my Father" does it for me, takes me back to the days of tank tops, flares & Brut aftershave, which we all wore.
