{{ I don't expect it to. But we both know you could easily have found three episodes at least you could have listed, like everyone else did. Even in eras that overall they are not keen on- hell Malick managed to find stuff from the Smith era and he gave up watching it.

And its every time, thats what really getting under my skin, I spend an hour or so coming up with some topic, or some idea for discussion, and every time someone or pother, often you it has to be said, seem to just reply by either dismissing it offhand or using it as an excuse for a dig. It being a joke doesn't matter any more, because its every topic I put up for discussion.
It was this constant drip drip of snarky that led to my last crabbit explosion that closed the thread- I don't want to see that happening again- but it will if every time I put up something to discuss you just use it as an excuse to knock the Steven Mo era, even when that's not what the topic is about. Its utterly disheartening.

fair enough. if you want this thread to be purely positive Smurf loving appreciation thread without any opportunity for honest discussion or an innocent joke, when the next season comes out I will restart the alternative Who thread and express myself freely without being in the ridiculous situation of being called a troll just because I dislike something or make a joke, or don't take things seriously enough. . Unlike the people who troll GOT threads while actively disliking the show, I actually used to love Who and hope to love it again one day, so no, I don't come here to 'troll' you because its got nothing to do with you as a person, and I cant understand why you are taking it as a personal slight on you, are you Smurf in disguise? this is about Smurf and only Smurf.  

and NO I couldn't find three episodes to list, because I don't like any particularly well enough. The only reason I like the Wardrobe one is because I was surprised that I didn't hate it. Hardly reason enough to list it.

{{That's not even close to what I just said. The topic was to list episodes we all enjoy- there was no need at all to bring into it what you hate or use it to have another joke/dig at one particular showrunner's era. If the topic was on something less specific, episodes you like and dislike say, then fine, but it wasn't. And it happens every time I try to present a topic for discussion. It just leaves me feeling I would be better off not discussing stuff, not coming up with topics for discussion at all when you have no intention of ever actually engaging with them but instead just slight it and leave me feeling I have wasted my time trying- and thats why there is an element of it being personal- if I spend my time putting something together for the forum in the hope of sparking a fun interesting debate, and instead its just slighted in a one sentence post reply, then it does personally hurt in the sense that I feel like it was pointless to try and my time and thought and effort wasted by doing so. Again.

I am not asking you not to post, on the contrary Figg, I was asking you to post, deliberately asking everyone to post positives by listing enjoyable episodes. A conversation on things we all enjoy. }}}.

ok I am sorry if I have hurt your feelings but it wasn't meant as such. it was a lighthearted jokey comment not a slight. obviously the Who thread is still a very sensitive topic so maybe it would be better just to allow you to continue without any more of my opinions because honestly at the moment I cant find anything positive to say. plus you put up too many episodes all at once. for me personally it would be better if you started with season 1 episode 1 and asked us to comment on that and then continue onwards, that way we have time to formulate something meaningful. just a suggestion.

I think Father's Day is probably the episode that most defined Rose's character for me. (I tried to remember it when she was walking all over Mickey)

My favourite episode of WHO is "The Satan Pit" with David Tennant. I thought the "monster" was a good idea visually of Satan.

{{I think I like because it felt like the first really proper Who story- it had time travel elements, and paradoxes and weird time repairing/eating monsters. And the early NuWho stuff for me got something out in the balance between appealing to children and childish- burping dustbins and farting slitheen ect, something they weened out of later series after this one. But Fathers Day felt like the first proper grown up story. Like they were taking the material seriously for the first time and in a way that wasn't talking down or over pandering to its younger elements of the audience.
And its just got a good solid story at its heart, that has a lot of heart.

It would great if the Moffy-Toffee could blackmail persuade That other guy to write an episode for Capaldi's Doctor before he steps down, I'd be very curious as to how he would write for such a different tone....

I'm still have no strong opinon on Lucas returning...he's a very talented actor and he would make a great counterpoint to Capaldi's blunt and snarky doctor, but Nardole was a fairly thin character, I'm more curious than annoyed that he is returning, I hated Donna in her first episode and she grew into a great character.

I am bit curious myself... But I am very glad they are trying out new things and new characters.
