also, it makes me crabbit that i worked 7 days in a row so i could manage two days off, and guess what! i caught the flu. big time..

i hate being sick. the weather is nice. my sister won't come over as she's afraid of also catching the flue. both my parents aren't home. i've eaten the porridge my dad made and now i am just laying here.. lonely... and food-less.... halp. also, no dvd-playeer, so can't watch lotr. fever is fucking annoying. my nose is filled with snot and my eyes are watering. i wish i could read, but my head and eyes feel so heavy..

also, i hate when people ask if i have had a nice vacation/hollyday. what vacation? what vacation?! I've had none! i've been working every fucking week, i can't afford vacation! i am a student, LIKE YOURSELF HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU HAVE VACATION? how can u afford it?!, seven/eight hours a day since the end of may! WHAT FUCKING VACATION!?

Sounds like my typical summer. I used to love summer, now it's the busiest time of year for me.

Hope you get better, Norc. I sort of enjoy a fever, myself. It's like a cheap way to feel drunk. The other shit has to go, though.

if you feel crappy the best thing to do is watch crappy daytime tv in bed. 'Mistresses' is a good one, its quite addictive and fluffy.

Almost worth getting sick for! To my mind it's best if the honey is dark and thick with a bit of wax left , and the whiskey comes from a quart canning jar.

Last holiday I had was 11 or 12yrs ago. A holiday to me now is a day without having to sort out yet another problem brought on by some fecking pimply understudy trying to climb up the social ladder of bureaucracy, whilst hoping to look & sound grander than he ever will be.

aw thanks guys! i am feeling a lot  better, just snotty  i guess i am just overly (bæsat) needy since i am all alone in this big house with noone to mommy me ..  my mom saw my phonecall like a day late (she's an hour drive away enjoying the countryside with my grandma) and asking if she should come home and i'm like.. "there's no point now, i'm getting better and thinking of going to work tomorrow"...

although i wish i could have a proper vacation, slumbering away in sandals and just chilling in the garden or going hiking idk.. something like that.. i have some days of later in july and hopefully a week off in beginning of august so fingers crossed  

also thanks for the beverage tips guys, definitely ought to try the whiskey one... although i am not sure alcohol really benefits the imune system..

Well I've barely slept for the last four days and have an annoying cold (my first in aaages), so there's that, cold's suck  

(though the lack of sleep is at least partly due for a positive reason-I've finally worked up the courage/motivation to start (or at least attempt to) dealing with some serious issues in my personal life I've been pushing aside for much longer than I should have, kinda nervous/anxious about where it might be leading and it's been very hard to break out of this cycle (but I am already happier now I've started-I only hope I can continue to improve), but it can only be an improvement on my current state of mind, at the very least it's nice to be kept awake by more positive thoughts for a change...sorry to vent with such a random/possibly illogical post, but I'm in a weird mood due to lack of sleep/over thinking...  )

Moving on to a completely different topic (though also a random topic I'm probably thinking about due to sleep deprivation) I'm now kinda annoyed I went with the username malickfan, I still love four of his films Badlands, The Thin Red Line, Days Of Heaven and The Tree Of Life-the first two especially but I've largely strayed away from his more recent work, and judging by the reviews/analysis/articles I've read it seems I'm right, Terrence Malick was always an outsider as a film director, more arthouse than mainstream but it seems he's lost the spark as a creative recently, his more recent films (judging from the clips/reviews I've seen) coming across as rambling, disorganized parodies of his own earlier work, perhaps that's just my own biases coming across and/or my tastes have changed as a film goer...then again I suppose I could have gone for (Peter)jacksonfan instead which would have been worse for obvious reasons
