If I can imagine the image I'm looking for, I'll just google-search it as an animated GIF and often post the link directly from the thumbnail still image without actually watching it. I figure if all it goes horribly wrong you folks will let me know.

{{Nostalgia Critic and Chris Stuckman review Rogue One- largely much the same as my own views on it- and glad Im not only one who was left going '"yeah but what was all that shit with the squid monster about?' }}

Wouldn't call it dull - not as wildly creative as I'd hope, though.

Re: Star Wars [2]
I thought parts of it were very good-looking. I mean to say, that some scenes had quite-excellent backdrops and scenery.

Not dull at all, though if I were to look at it objectively and not from a fanboy's point of view, I agree with what others have said here about a messy first half. The ending makes up for any flaws the movie might have in my view, well worth seeing

I can't stomach over indulgent fan service. For me it's like taking an ipecac.

Re: Star Wars [2]
Personally I felt Rogue One had a messy first act Force Awakens a very derivative third act, both have pacing issues and cross the line between nostalgia and fanwank more often than they should, but overall I loved both films and will happily watch them time and again.
Though I certainly wouldn't object if Disney were to stray further from the formula in future.

Re: Star Wars [2]
Not that there's a single, universally agreed-upon definition of fanservice, but I thought that Rogue One had more of its own sense of identity separate from its predecessors than The Force Awakens did, despite its plot being so closely tied to that of the original film. That said, TFA did a lot of other things better than RO.

Speaking of fan service, does everyone remember Legolas running up a bunch of falling rocks in the third Hobbit movie? Ahaha fan service!

Re: Star Wars [2]
If that thing could be said to have reached a crescendo it was in the last 2 minutes. How they managed to keep their deeply earnest NPR schtick going for a full 15 minutes without cracking until the end is beyond me.

Probably with the help of a lot of editing!

Hmm...jedi can refer to one person, but is also a plural, Luke seems to be the last known Jedi in the universe at the close of TFA, but this could refer to Kylo Ren and Rey as well...does this lend greater credence to Rey being Luke's daughter?
As Episode 8 starts immediately after Ep 7 I'm wondering if the title is intentional and referring to Rey (who is clearly the 'awakening' Snoke talks about) specifically, i.e The Force Awakens in the last Jedi, her...
*Edit, I might be wrong but I think the title for Episode 7 was revealed only a week or two before the first teaser trailer was released, and the Superbowl is only two weeks away...so can we expect a teaser trailer then, perhaps followed by a full length trailer on the 40th Anniversary of A New Hope's release?

Re: Star Wars [2]
I'm pretty sure it refers to Luke.
https://youtu.be/eUB6Un9TR7o?t=3m30s
And considering that this movie will be Luke's first real appearance since ROTJ, and that we know his previous attempt at training a new generation of Jedi failed ... seems pretty straightforward to me.

I would actually be surprised if the title meant the other suggested meaning which is Jedi as an order. Luke being the last Jedi there will ever be.
I would suggest (which i think you are saying) that the title is actually just referring to the state of things as they are found at the start of the film. Luke is currently the last Jedi alive. By the end of episode 9 that may not be the case.
I actually would quite like to see him sitting in the Jedi council room with a few others by the end of it all.
