That's cool. Could have made their lives easier by not splitting into boards, but then I guess there's limits to what a saw can cut.

CAMBRIDGE, New Zealand, May 18 (UPI) -- A phallic eggplant has gained attention from bidders on a New Zealand auction site after being listed by the son of a local gardener.
The listing on New Zealand's online auction site "Trade Me" is titled "Erotic Eggplant" and notes that it had just been picked when the auction began on May 11.
"For sale, a freshly picked phallic aubergine. Totally organic, satisfaction guaranteed. All proceeds to charity," the listing states.
The eggplant has been bid on 17 times in its first week available for auction with a high bid of $100.

Re: Just...................whatever [6]
My stepmom got home from Bristol from a business trip (yet another one) and she brought back a ton of UK junk food. The one that jumped out to me were Maryland cookies, cause they took me back to 2009 when I heard all about them from one person in particular I knew through forums who's English and thought that me being from the same place as the cookies was hilarious.
Maryland cookies are not actually from Maryland though which is why I've only now tried one; tasted pretty much the same as Chips Ahoy to me. An actual distinctively Maryland cookie (more specifically Baltimore) would be Berger cookies.

Re: Just...................whatever [6]
Given all the cr*p you read about British food being shit (in fairness, quite alot of it is!), I find it very ironic that your step mum brought back and enjoyed british junk food, when the common (and unfounded) stereotype of American cuisine is that it is all fast food etc (alot of supermarkets and newsagents now have 'American' shelves...mostly limited to Oreos and Pop Tarts it seems)
Never was a huge fan of Maryland cookies.
Ginger nuts, Chocolate Digestives, Tunnock's Caramel Wafers or Fox's crunch creams would be my go-to biscuit.

Re: Just...................whatever [6]
Some of the stuff she brought back was a little bit nicer than the Maryland Cookies/Chips Ahoy tier. But it kinda had to be pre-packaged things that could make the flight back unfortunately. It's fun to try something new and see the little differences. And I do quite like Cadbury's.
Re: Just...................whatever [6]
MMmmmm, Cadburys Now your talking !!

I liked it slighty more before they changed the recipe

I only tried it for the first time a year or two ago.
Still like Hershey's too though.

Re: Just...................whatever [6]
Milton Hershey was a fascinating man. He really was the Henry Ford of confectionery, a populist bringing the new science of mass production to invent a new kind of chocolate for the masses. That slight sour milk taste of Hershey's chocolate was his big breakthrough. It allowed consistent mediocrity no matter what kind of milk was being used. Consistent mediocrity is now the hallmark of all "American Food" (Kraft mac and cheese, McDonalds, etc.)

If you've ever played with a chainsaw that sort of thing happens more than you might think.

Re: Just...................whatever [6]
I'll go further Halfy and say that if you're NOT thinking about that, you've got no business putting a saw to a standing tree. If the top can't fall freely as the butt starts to come free, the full energy of the tree can be expressed as an explosive kick of the butt in any direction. Many gruesome stories.....
