For some reason some twisted researchers wanted to study the effects of sleep deprivation on cats. Their method was to put the cats on a (much slower) treadmill with a bucket of water at the end. I have to suppose it was in an enclosed glass tube or something. Rather than staying awake, the kitties would scamper to the front of the treadmill and catch a few seconds of catnap; waking up when their tails fell over the end to jump up and repeat the process.

unless the dog was being prompted somehow offscreen that's pretty amazing. I didn't think they were image oriented enough to follow what's happening onscreen.

I'd assume the answer to your question depends largely on just how young the puppy is, though I've (fortunately IMO) never had one myself so I dunno for sure.

Well... he is too young to come home with us now. He will be 8 weeks when we get him.

Halfy - yes. He is very nervous with other dogs but really wants to the be friends. We have someone who walks him once a week (to help keep him socialised) and he is very comfortable around her labrador so thought it would be nice to have another family member that will always be around and 'have his back.'

My dog is the same, he wants to play yet he's a bit timid. My daughter has a dog so I go to her's twice a week so the dogs can play & run around. And also hope that he finds a "friend" at the local dog parks even for 10mins of play People say "a mans best friend is his dog" & that may well be true, from our point of view but, dogs wanna be with other dogs & having a "pal" cheers them up no end

Our new baby, Stan, is home. Currently sleeping on the floor with Bentley who has been a really good boy with him so far.
Sure we have got a very long way to go yet, but a good start. Plus he is super fluffy!!
