I was cuddling with my brother's pit mix on the couch while playing Battlefront II and damn, for a dog with not a lot of hair, he sheds like a motherfucker. I dunno how he still has any left but it was all over my new Cowboys sweatshirt.

Battlefront II, now there are some great memories there. Should never have sold my PS2.

It's such a great game. My brother came back home for a couple days last week and brought the original Xbox up out of the basement and hooked it up to the big flatscreen in the family room. I was able to find a few more of our old early-2000s video games and have been on something of a nostalgia trip playing those. Even my dad, who doesn't really do video games, was playing a bunch of Need for Speed: Underground over New Year's.

Man, so many games I miss playing. If I got back into video games I'm not sure if I'd go the Xbox or PlayStation route. Granted things are a lot different now than they were back in the '00s.

Id go for a decent gaming pc and then just get emulators- Ive got every machine I ever owned from a ZX spectrum to playstation 2 on my pc. Its actually quite weird.

It's been a long time since I played new video game beyond just doing multi-player with my brother. We've had all three generations of the Xbox so far but never a PS in the house. I see enough of new games getting played in the background to know there's plenty of great stuff out there, but for the me the whole experience is one soaked in nostalgia.
Fake edit: well, I guess PC games are a little different, I do still play those occasionally, more than I do with console games.
