Definently real Eldo- 2 out my 3 cats can open doors with the door handles in a similar way. And my doors open inwards so they not only have to get the handle down but swing to get momemtum to pull it open.
I will try to capture it next time one of them does it.

You are lucky- I spend half my time getting up to close doors- they can open them but I have yet to impress on them the need to close the bloody things again behind them!

I've always loved black and white cats. The first cat I remember having as a little kid was black and white, and we still have one now.
