My youngest cat Sisko doing his celebrated 'something thats been hit by a car and left in the gutter' pose whilst basking in the heat of the fire. (and no I dont know how he does that twisty body thing either!)

He freaks me out the way he lies- that's his preferred sleeping position!

I can't say that it looks particularly comfortable, but I guess cat spines are shaped differently than human ones.

I have three cats now, and I had two across my childhood, and have friends with cats- never seen one lie like he does.

cats have mucsles around their spine, unlike humans. also, my dog (not Leo) used to lie like that. btw it is really comfy lying wit arms and feet pointing in odd directions. it's good streching. also my key board is fucked up at the moment and i have to write super slow for it to work. or els it ends up like this:

my dog is a bit cat like sometimes. when i come home he headsbuts me and then just collapses in my lap wanting to be cuddled.
