Yeah, but if you skip season one of TNG you miss the first encounter with Q! And that really established the character of Picard really well, I thought. And set the tone for most of the series.

Yeah Encounter at Farpooint perhaps- but that next Q episode, with him and Riker and the pig headed guys in French army uniforms- ouch 
And besides the whole concept was much better done in TOS episode Charlie X.
And the episode with Wesley breaking the rules on that planet- and Yar embarrassingly fighting the Amazon women- or her demise at the hands of the sentient oil slick- oh dear oh dear. Cringe making stuff to watch then, even worse now.

i don't know how to feel about those skirts, can we have some backstory? are they meant for someone? u know there are temples where men has to wear skirt-like bottoms?
