Re: 2013 CHRISTMAS
I don't know when it started, but "Holidays" is a more inclusive term for Christmas, New Year's, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and whatever other midwinter holidays people celebrate.
Re: 2013 CHRISTMAS
I'm real jealous Norc. I'm out in stupid California and we had a warm sunny day for Christmas.
On a lighter note, I did get a kick-ass 5" diameter reflective telescope, so I will be enjoying the nights much more now.
On a darker note, the hand-made bow and arrows that I spent days on for my nephew was nearly wasted when my brother and his wife bought him a bow and arrow set from the store.
Merry Christmas!

And now there was nothing but the roofs of houses, sweeping along like a great torrent of stones and rocks. Chimney-pots fell, and tiles flew from the roofs..."

Well, I'm sorry you guys don't enjoy it.
Is Christmas that uninteresting in Italy Figg? I'm guessing it's quite religion centric.

Norc wrote:I had a lovely time ^^ it was stormy and the whole house creaked and everything got lot's of cool stuff, including a knitted hat with the text "ash nazg durbatuluk" ate lots of good food and yeah the roads were super icy, i think we never were over 40 km/h .. scary, and we were sideways a couple of times, but luckily there weren't many cars on the roads and my dad is a pretty steady driver but winter tires with no nails and rear-wheel "pull" ... not good on "Blankholka" (roughly translated shiny icy road with a bit of water on top, polished ice ..)
Well, it's a good thing your dad knows what he's doing.
Hat sounds nice. Though be warned your badass ratio might approach dangerous levels.
Takk for julehilsener Nora og Ringo. Jeg endte opp med å ha en ganske flott jul på tross av været.
And thank you for your seasonal well wishes to everyone else as well.

I never said it had.
I was only saying your hat sounded cool that's all.
I certainly didn't expect this kind of spanish inquisition.

If you want him to slip in discreetly, just make sure you have plenty of juice. Preferably without bits in. Otherwise can be quite abrasive I have heard.

Re: 2013 CHRISTMAS
*cough* Anyway...
We've had a lovely Christmas, despite gloomy weather, plus degrees, storm and rain most of the time. We were 10 people for Christmas on the 24th. Us four, my mom and dad and Finrods mom, dad, sister and brother. Finrod's grandparents joined us later for coffee and desserts. Christmas day we spent with my parent on the annual Christmas day family dinner (Potetball folkens. Med pinnekjøt. )
Yesterday the inlaws made baked salmon.

Well, I am sure any eel wrangling would be appreciated. Especially with plenty of oil.

I am at work.
Re: 2013 CHRISTMAS
Sounds nice Amarië.
Strangely we all seem to be having the same kind of weather. I just walked in from the pouring rain.
I just shared some pictures over on the Tales of Home thread of the last remnants of our snow. Here's another from my walk of Christmas eve just to bolster the threads Christmas spirit.

Not the weather to be outside in here either, but just staying in is one of the better parts of Christmas I guess.
I'm not a big fan of lutefisk, but the company and accompaniments normally makes up for it.
Concert? Playing or listening?
Well, make sure to enjoy it either way.
