The song "Royals" by the 16 year old New Zealander Lorde. Hence Lorde of the Rings

In TH he looked so... airbrushed & plastic'y ? & older, tougher & more "worldly" ? yet this was BEFORE LOTRs ? were he came across sweet, innocent, amazed at everything, & you felt you wanted to take him under your wing ? I know he's aged since LOTRs but it notices !

Re: Lord of the Rings Humour: Parodies, Satires and More [3]
He was wearing guy-liner in TH and his wig was shaped differently on his forehead so he looked older and he filled out more, he's not some young guy fresh out of drama school, he's a 36 year old man with a son and a career, but everyone else just says he's chubby.

Re: Lord of the Rings Humour: Parodies, Satires and More [3]
yeah he doesnt have chiselled cheekbones in TH he is chunkier, more like Haldir than the delicate boned Legolas of yore.
I really like Bloom in LOTR he is suitably ethereal and otherworldly, a lot of people dont like his acting and call it wooden, but the Elven persona suited his acting style very well. I dont think he is wooden but he has his own genre of films and thats fine as he wasnt expected to emote or have extreme emotions as an Elf, I think it worked brilliantly in LOTR but in DOS he just looks like a dick and that was the fault of the crappy film not him. I think he is probably a fun guy in real life he awlays looks like hes having a laugh and not taking it too seriously, I like that about him.

yes, he felt innocent and young, which he was, he was a young elf who barely had been outside mirkwood. in lotr he's so adult-like (although he has some wise moments in lotr (book) and some in the movies (though he's more of a captain obvous there).azriel wrote:In TH he looked so... airbrushed & plastic'y ? & older, tougher & more "worldly" ? yet this was BEFORE LOTRs ? were he came across sweet, innocent, amazed at everything, & you felt you wanted to take him under your wing ? Mostly valid complaints- and when you add in all the problems on top of that it has as an adaptation they just suck
(the parody of the elvish singing is brilliant too! )

The Nostalgia Critic can be entertaining, but unfortunately I don't have time to watch any long videos right now. I wanted to say that I really like the Two Towers poster, though.

Oh, I do love NC.
Although, Petty probably shouldn't watch his comparison of PJ's and Bakshi's LOTR.
Just ignore the fact that he keeps saying "Bashki."
