Hm, Amarië seems to be saying some sort of natural fermentation with wild yeast is possible. But if you're after alcohol, gooseberry wine is supposedly quite good. Or you could try New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. It's been described as tasting like cats piss on a gooseberry bush.

Boil 'em, separate the liquid from the 'meat', add sugar to the the liquid, cook it some more and bottle it.

Seeing as you will be there anyway I'll bring you back something nice form the pub (by which I mean I'll drunkely thrust into your hand whatever is left in the bottom of my buckie bottle, and no greater gift hath man to give woman than that )

I can totally get behind fresh cod in a chowder.  
Dried cod just helps me to realize what strange people are living up north.

Well, that's certainly something to get in the mail.  Certainly something pleasant, I should say.  Are you making bacalao?

Well, it's highly valued and pretty much considered a delicacy in Southern Europe and South America and has been a prominent norwegian export for close to a 1000 years.

We do apperently have cranberries here too, though from a different branch of the family from the American one, though, to my shame, I'm not sure I've ever seen any in the wild.

Lots of other berries around though. Huckleberries, redcurrants, lingonberries, cloudberries, blackberries, gooseberries. Huckleberries/blueberries are pretty endemic (is that the word? Particularily prevalent, anyway.) at our cabin. The green here is almost all huckleberry bushes.



Nothing beats gooseberries for jam though. Though I don't think I've tasted cranberry jam, so I'll withhold jugdement.

Well, think of it like this. You know the thing you have forgotten consuming? That's probably the thing you have forgotten consuming. The other thing you haven't consumed, so you can't have forgotten consuming it.

Ah, but you miss the distinct category difference here. The one thing you have you have consumed and forgotten consuming, the other thing you never consumed, and as such cannot have forgotten consuming. Forgetting having consumed something you haven't consumed is actually an impossibility. So you can rule that one out, and then you're left with the one you have forgotten consuming.
