As with all these sort sof things Chris- bits of it- and the bits you like will no doubt be different from thebits I liked (hey, for all I know you might be a Spice Girls/One Direction fan!).
For my part I thought Eric Idles bit was a highlight and gave a bit of pomp deflation to things.
You can never go wrong with a bit of Queen, even if they replace Freddie Mercury with whoever the latest bit of goodlooking pop fluff happens to be.
And even getting on as they are its hard to argue with a bit of The Who.
Oasis (well sort of) were not bad for them, bit of a nasal whine going on though- few to many substances shoved up those nostrils over the years!
And Imagine and the Lennon tribute were well done I thought.

It wasnt bad. Plenty of 'classics' in there. Depends on who you are as to what the term 'classic' means though so dont ask me which ones I thought were.

I have noticed how Brian May is starting to turn in to Paul McCartney. The older he gets, the more things he seems to just turn up to like this. I hope at some point he will realise that enough is enough... ok for now... just dont need another Macca to anger me at every large getting together of British folk.

my favourite was Eric Idle too, that song always makes me happy. I thought Sporty Spice had the most annoying nasal twang, its not a nice voice. I thought that Jessie J had a great big powerful voice. and that the supermodel thing was a bit random. But how many times are you going to see a bit of Pink Floyd, Genesis, Who and Queen all in one night?

Yes, the model thing was a little bit odd. I can undestand them being there and showing off british fashion and whatever... however I think the artisitc director got that one wrong. It was just.... well odd.

Idle was a highlight for me too! Along with the John Lennon segment, I also liked Kaiser Chiefs 'Pinball Wizard'.

Also Take That performed one of my favourite songs incredibly well so well done to them too

Roger Daltrey and The Who was a good end too

All in all it sounds like a pretty great musical lineup! I can't wait to watch this when I have a few hours.

Well Im now a fan of scottish div 3 football! Seeing as thats where my team has ended up- actually its quite an entertaining diversion so far.
Last weeks 5-1 home victory was the 2nd or 3rd largest crowd in the UK- for a game where the opposition had two players out as they had their holidays booked and the rest are part-timers whose 'real' jobs are things like postie, and joiner.
Its completely mad but sort of fun because of it.
