Re: Horses in middle earth
Well no one ever needed to go in so of course you can come out. Are some folks shy around horses?
If so, please meet the three white horses Snowfax, Whitfax and Faxpaper. They are gentle as lambs, and as white as... something.

Maybe use a wankel rotary engine to speed up harvest. The old model needed no petrol if I recall correctly...
... it ran on horse berries, I think.

'She was a young filly, spirited and splendid. Danny knew just enough about horses to know that this was no ordinary animal. (...) She was grey as the winter sea, with a mane like silver smoke.'
Oh wait that's from a tale that includes Westeros.
Oh wait... and there's a problem with ros [Tolkien linguistic joke].
Anyway, there that much is.

It's amazing to me how many variants of grey exist here, now that you point them out. This one I find particularly evocative.
I imagine fields of geoducks just below the surface.

Don't know, but it reminded me of home too. It's like the coastline a litte north of here, where it's a bit rockier.
I just googled "winter sea" and this one looked like a good colour for a horse.

I'm surprised you'd managed to avoid coming across pictures of geoducks in one of the various threads where they've been posted lately.

Google reverse image search suggests that it came from this photo blog:

You're gonna have to be a bit more specific than that.
