There and back is fine but an Unexpected journey I agree is pretty weak. Its a typical Coven bit of thinking, use a bit of actual Tolkien, throw half away and add your own bit!

I think something like Part 1: There, Part 2: Back Again would be more appropriate. Therefore, when referring to the films, one could say
"Have you seen the Hobbits: There AND Back Again ?"
"Have you seen the Hobbits: There AND Back Again ?"
