Actually come to think of it, where will you be camping, Eldo? I'm heading down your way, and will spend one night above Mcconnellsburg, PA, and the next night near Waynesboro PA, right across from the MD border near Thurmont.

Sounds fun Halfy! Is it possible to take pictures from a hang glider? If so, do your puty for the forum and the pics thread!

Unfortunately we're heading east, not west (from Baltimore). I'll be at Elk Neck State Park at the tip of the Chesapeake Bay, just south of the town of North East, MD and real close to Elkton.

It's possible but you want an attached camera, or video.  But here's a couple videos some buddies of mine took of recent places I've been flying, including my favorite activity, the cloud dive:

Yes, I've driven through Elkton, never thought to camp there.

The local paragliders record their flights all the time.

We are having a concert on Saturday, where we are playing "Vidda" and hopefully play a video from a paragliding trip over the area here. ("Vidda" was written after the composer and player flew in a F-16 over Finnmarksvidda.)

Gorgeous videos!  The cloud dive one was especially cool.  Makes sense about the attached camera thing, though.

The camp ground is at the end of a long-ish peninsula jutting out into the north of the Bay.  To the west you can look out toward Havre de Grace, and to the east is the channel leading to the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal.  A lot of ships come by fairly close to the park on their way to or from the canal.  The park covers a fair bit of the peninsula so it feels more isolated than it really is (relatively speaking).
