I've been working at a summer day camp this week (mostly as a favor to someone, though I am getting paid) so I've been out a lot. Today though, I'm going to be out for like ten hours, first with a bunch of middle school kids and then in the evening filling out the crowd at a panel discussion for a bunch of parents. And I thought it was summer.

Fortunately the kids are all pretty cool though.

Middle school is 11-13 so it's more like preteens, but sort of.  There's like workshops and social skills-building activities and such going on.  I'm pretty good with kids so it's nice, but it's really draining.

you sound like me. that's the exact same thing i do in 4H. although i have kids from 7-14(and beyond) and around my age

I didn't know (or forgot) that you did 4H. I used to go to the 4H auctions at county fairs here. I always thought it was a bit depressing that the kids raise animals basically by hand only to sell them so they can be killed and eaten, though.

That is a nice view though. I like visiting cities with big skyscrapers. Unfortunately Baltimore only has a handful.

yeah, we don't do that here :Dwe don't have fairs in the same way as in America. we do farm-related stuff but also handcraft (is that a word ) we also do more hiking and stuff


btw lance, what exactly is that tower? it's from the olympics, but what is it?
