I figured it would have a ST spoiler in it but I wasn't thinking. Just assumed it would be minor. My own dumb fault.

Well its been the worst kept secret in film so not really a spoiler-
- Spoiler:
- I do have concerns though- Wrath of Khan is piece about ageing, facing consequences, death and rebirth.
It open with Kirks birthday and him and Mccoy talking about the past in Kirks home, which is full of antiques. And mccoy, as a symbol of Kirks aging, gves him a pair of glases as he is allergic to retinax the usual medicine. And the conversion ends on the Mccoy line "other people have birthdays Jim, why are we treating yours like a funeral?"
The theme continues throughout the film withthe revaltion Kirk has a son he didnt knw about to Carol Marcus, and him having to face his past and those consequences when he meets his son, and it all eventually culminates in Spocks death and the rebirth of the Genesis planet and ends with Kirk answering the question about how he feels with "I feel, young."
Its a complete thematic whole. I have my doubts the new version is as well constructed.

hey, i did.....
btw, Petty. you must remember that the movie is supposed to be a stand alone piece, that said, it does have some hints
though you're probably gonna hate it, but i have my hopes. except for the ending seemign a bit rushed, it's really good, and i really liked how the portrayed Spock, and the spock-kirk thing(althoguh i was expecting a "I love you" any minute). but benedict.. jeez.. he's way better than all the other actors (well, simon pegg is good, but his character doesn't get much screen time), that may sounds vague coming from me, but just see it
