No, it's a night time shot with the exposure time set to around 30 seconds or so. The birds were very accommodating.

It's been quite quiet here for a few months, kinda wish/curious if we will ever get a random spam attack again.

I miss Squach.

Reading old forum threads (not just on here) has gotten really frustrating since Photobucket disallowed remote image hosting (which was the only thing anyone ever used them for), especially since half the time there's no trace of an image left behind, not even the "upgrade your account" message.

Come to think of it, perhaps that explains why we haven't had much actual spam in recent years, perhaps would be spammers or bots took a look at some of the nonsense posted here and figured it wasn't worth the effort or that we were already doing a fine job of it ourselves

reminds me of years ago when I used to still live at home with the Dear Olds. 3 kids, 2 cats and a dog. We never bothered to lock up. Once we were on vacation for a while and actually had one of our friends come in to be house sitter. He was out one night, came back to find the house ransacked, fake jewelry dumped on the floor, 15-year-old electronics ignored, sofa cushions gone through in desperation. The only thing missing was the house-sitter's walkman (cutting edge technology at the time).

Never locked up again and never had another problem. Word gets around.

On the subject of Spam, apparently Spam fried rice is a very popular dish in Hawaii (dates back to WW2 rationing), I know this is coming from a Brit, but that seems an unusual mix (Hawaii of all places, what about all the wonderful seafood they have?)...Spam to me is on of those mysterious tins I leave half forgotten in my kitchen/garage and occasionally open for a sandwich or salad if I can't be bothered to cook anything else, as far as tinned meat products go it's pretty good, but I'd never think to make a regular part of a meal.

Spam Fritters are pretty good though...

Pork is actually pretty much the center of any traditional Hawaiian feast. Just google "Luau". There are still wild boars on some of the Islands as well as domestic pig farms, but Spam is just a lot easier! You don't even need a can opener anymore!
