I'd just like to not get shit for liking a certain sport every time I mention it (which isn't even all that often). It's not like there's anyone here shitting on association football.

It gets old when it comes up every single time though (and it has, even back on the old forum). I kept my mouth shut since I know how you guys are but when Lorient expressed similar feelings I decided it was time for action.

My friend Paul, is Baseball MAD ! Even tho hes English tru & thru, he LOVES baseball !. He plays Baseball computer games, sits up till dawn watching it on late night tv, when its on, He can name every winning hit, run, player,game score etc etc going back years. There is one particular team he supports but Il have to ask him who it is ? something "Giants" ? So, thats my tuppence worth of useless information thrown in ! Does it earn a LITTLE reprieve ? Eldo, sweety,lovey, darling, coochy coo, ?

I saw the London Monarchs play the Redskins (think it was the redskins) Lorient, oh at least 10 years ago (might even be 20! ).
My Dad and my brother are big American football fans- and yes I take the piss there just as much.
I have even played a bit when I was a kid, what with having the US NAvy Base here and all. Baseball too.

It comes from having only a few football-loving friends and family members IRL but quite a few left-leaning types who think the NFL is almost as bad as NASCAR.

It's not like I have much in common with stereotypical NASCAR fans but I do find car racing pretty exciting. I'm hoping to watch the upcoming F1 season after missing out on last year's.

Oh yeah, definitely. Although if I was doing math this year I'd probably have to turn off the computer just to focus on it since I'm not so great at math stuff.

I'm in history now, which I do actually enjoy, but this is more fun. Plus I know a lot of this already. Multitasking FTW.

Yeah, most professors don't care about laptops here. Every now and then there will be one who tries to enforce a no Facebook rule but those are hard to enforce. Besides, it's college. You can just get up and walk out of class if you want to go to the bathroom or whatever. Browsing Facebook during a lecture is less disruptive than that.

I tend to take notes rather obsessively though. They're my guiding light when it's time to study for exams.

Yea most people at my school don't carry around laptops, not sure if its frowned upon or what. Most teachers don't really care about smartphones and/or tablets though.

yeah, but i am thinking like in class, Facebook and forum in class we're not allowed to take it up until the teacher says ok, if you have homework on i or we're going to use them in like work.

Being sick makes me crabbit. I've been blowing my nose all the time but I'm also really achey and my body temperature is out of wack. At first I was freezing all the time, but starting last night I've been sweating all the time even though it's winter. This has been going on for two or three days now; I hope it stops before Tuesday when I have class again.
