Re: Retrieving old posts
Been trying to finish copying the humour thread tonight, but it seems the order of the posts is messed up at some point on the PT board. Only just noticed it now, after reposting lots of posts Going to delete some posts and rearrange abit to get the order straight, so it will take some extra time I'm afraid. Meanwhile, enjoy some of what's already been posted! I just saw the Vuvuzela video Chris posted for the first time, cracked me up

Re: Retrieving old posts
Your own posts? There should be an "x" button next to the quote and edit buttons, although the delete function may only be available for a certain amount of time after the post is made. Which posts were you thinking of?
Re: Retrieving old posts
I think you are right about the time thing GB- I just went back to a post up the page of mine and couldn't see the delete x button.
But good work Ringdrotten, if some of it is in the wrong place then so be it- still good to have it restored here.
Can't Eldo move posts about?

Alright, I can move and delete anything you need, but if you've got it under control that's good.

Re: Retrieving old posts
Done! Petty: It would've annoyed me to death anyway if I had kept it in PT's untidy order, so it was for selfish reasons as well

Re: Retrieving old posts
Glad to hear it Wasn't any trouble, to be honest, as I was listening to the BBC radio adaptation of LotR while I was doing it So far (just finished the second episode) they're as good as Petty says, excellent adaptation

Re: Retrieving old posts
Worthy of discussion somewhere perhaps? Has the alternate adaptations thread turned up on PT yet?

Do you mean this one? It's missing the OP and possibly a few other posts but it appears to be mostly there.

Re: Retrieving old posts
This is a little different from retrieving old Forum posts, but this still feels like the right thread.
I want to go back and read what provoked Figgy to swim across a cold dirty ferry crossing in "Pics of Places that look like Films...", due to it being the second half of the full thread. It breaks tantalizingly right after her first description of the incident and we are left with a more detailed recount of the swim and the aftermath.
So how to find thread version 1?

If memory serves Halfy the very first page of the thread should say something like - continued from- and then have a link.

Hey, wow! The search worked. Funny, she said she "once got a splinter jumping off a ferry, but that's just boring." Then under prodding she admitted all the rest which wasn't boring at all.

I suspect a lot of an eel wrangler's past is like that Halfy - they claim its nothing at all and turns out to be some wild adventure!

Re: Retrieving old posts
my dad has just reminded me of stuff I got up to in the past, like the time when I was 10, I rode a Llama in Bellevue zoo and it ran off with me and it tried to escape with me on its back, it ran down the main road after escaping its pen, and then catapulted me into some elephant poo. and the time I got involved in a shoot out in a shopping mall in Moss Side, these criminals were shooting each other over a balcony and I jumped into a dustbin to save myself as bullets whizzed round me. I Always end up somewhere smelly.
