There's even a LINK back to this site! Right now, thousands of fifty-ish, frozen pizza-eating blokes around the world are following that link right to Forumshire! And they'll be asking for the now-famous Odo.
Orwell, like I said, the glory is beaming directly at Forumshire. No reflection needed.
Chris, I can't believe you scooped me on my own publicity! Let's talk about how you can live your dream: becoming a press agent.
PT and Chris, I'm delighted to be regarded as one of Forumshire's very own. Thanks!
Re: Reuters coverage of The Wobbit
Great going getting the word about Forumshire! And of course you're one of us; you've been a contributor here for years! Congratulations again on all your recent publicity.

Actually, what with all the excitement goin' on, how's your health Paul? Have things improved? Hopefully all the good news has been a help with that, at least psychologically. Also, nice what you said about Forumshire... I wasn't sure about you, at first, as well you know, but I'm pleased to see in time my doubts were groundless. Wish you the best of success. Don't forget us, though, when you're sailing that yacht!

WOW! Mrs. Figg, I had no idea! I'll have to check Illinois state law.
Orwell- Thanks for asking, I'm doing fine. Just standard fifty year old bloke issues. I had two minor procedures done in two weeks, followed by the extraction of a broken tooth. It all left me keenly aware, suddenly, of my mortality. I hope you're well, too. And to all my fifty year old bloke friends out there, don't put off your prostate exam. Or your colonoscopy.
So, I hear the movie version of Radagast rides in a chariot drawn by giant rabbits...

Thanks for all your well-wishings! It's fun to see the Reuters story make its way onto The Huffington Post (that name sounds like something from Winnie The Pooh) and even TheOneRing.net. Good eye, Norc!
Yesterday an actual review of The Wobbit was posted on TheHobbitMovie.co.uk. The editor there is the first person to review both my book and The Soddit. He's English, but still claims that he likes my references to The Three Stooges and Clint Eastwood more than the Oscar Wilde and Noel Coward references in The Soddit. I hope the rest of the UK agrees with him.
He'll be posting an interview with me later this week, where I conspicuously mention my friends at Forumshire. Imagine all the additional frozen-pizza-eating, buckie-swilling, fifty-ish blokes that will be stopping by to chat...
Heehee - Oscar Wilde is very entertaining, and I'm more of a Dickens chap... Seriously though, the book is top-drawer and outrageously funny. The bad news is that my fiancée also likes it, as she doesn't have a clue about The Hobbit, Tolkien or anything unrelated to Grey's Anatomy / Coronation Street etc. etc.

Ah, thanks - there's been a fair few hits on the page, so hopefully it's spreading the word.

Hey, er, thehobbitmovie.co.uk. Welcome to Forumshire! Do you mind if I just call you Stephen? I had a look around your website when you first joined here. Also, thanks for the link in your interview with Paul. I hope you enjoy your time here.
Re: Reuters coverage of The Wobbit

Re: Reuters coverage of The Wobbit
Thinking of Orwell's excellent Hobbit parody reminded me of Paul's! Does anyone have his email address? I want to ask him how his LotR parody is coming along. The first part is already on Amazon (you can see his books here), and the the little I read using the web preview thingy looked as great as the Wobbit (which is on sale on Amazon in both German and Russian translations!). It's cool to see that his parody has become so popular, though I am not surprised - it really is a great and hilarious read (highly recommended! )

Re: Reuters coverage of The Wobbit
I haven't talked to Paul in a while but his website is still up and it lists his e-mail address as thewobbitaparody@sbcglobal.net We also merited a link from Paul in the sidebar of his contact/bio page so I suspect he'll still remember you if you mention you're from Forumshire.

I've only read the Hobwit myself, but I'd love to read his LotR parody as well

Yup, that is what I meant I'm getting all these names mixed up You've written a parody, Paul's written one, and now Peter Jackson's made one too! Chaos is what it is.
