I guess bears have a thick layer of fat and fur that protected it, they also seem quite strong animals. poor thing though, must have been a shock for both of them.

I wish I could watch that but it seems to be too big for my buffer.
I've probably seen 1000 deer on the side of the road, but I don't think I've ever seen a bear, despite the hundreds that are a round.(I actually came within a few feet of crashing into a bear while riding my bicycle a while back.
) They don't die easily. They're built like a giant badger with extra muscle.

try open it in a new tab, usually does the trick for me when gifs are super-slow

Yeah, the Russian bear in the GIF gets flipped over its head and goes sliding through the mud on the side of the road but he gets up immediately and runs away into the woods.
