Your first error there Halfwise was forgiving a woman- they dinae like it, gets their heckles up, they don't respect it and besides- women should never be forgiven for anything all the way back to the bloody apple!! (Not that I'm a bitter old drunk or anything, no certainly not).

Evil or Very Mad If this keeps up I'm going to find myself joining Odo's Church of Respctability (And Sixth Form Girls After School Activities Club-to give it its full title, although I don't think I'm allowed to join that part- and Odo teaches all the activities Suspect ).

Figgy - you learned how to paste carrots! Huzzah!

As a long time educator I have amassed considerable empirical evidence that women are the intellectually superior sex. The only thing holding all you women back is the fact that you are a pack of friggin' loony-tunes.

So any comments about your computer skills were directed squarely and lovingly at you in person, not as a member of your fair sex. Kissing

But to be fair I only ever repeated what you said yourself....maybe amplified a wee bit.

(somehow that argument never gets me anywhere no matter when I use it.)

Actually that was back in Philips' administration. We were such a team in dealing with truculent young trollops. After I'd have a tiff with a young lady and flopped back in the arm chair in disdain he'd magically materialize and at just the right moment with an ever so slightly pompous wave of the arm and ever so slightly raised eyebrow declaim: "The door, madam."

Didn't know how to introduce that delicious carrot into one of my posts, then I thought that this might be as good a place as any. Very Happy

This is why we don't win any 'Best Forum' awards on the internet.

I can't read that but I'm pretty sure it's telling you not to hotlink (and they're right, you really shouldn't; it's a dick move and it costs other people bandwidth money). Just copy the images you wanted and upload them to Photobucket or Imgur. Wink

Norc wrote:or copy image address and so.

No, that's what hotlinking is. Wink If you just paste the original image address and put it between [IMG] tags in your post, then it is still hosted on the server of whatever site you found it on. That means that whenever someone views the image on this forum, then the original site's servers still get pinged and have to send the information about the image over here. That costs the owner of the original server money in bandwidth even though his site isn't getting any traffic out of it. That's why I recommended re-uploading the image to a site like Photobucket, whose purpose is for people to host images they want to share elsewhere, or even to our own native image host here on the forum. That way we don't unfairly cost anyone else money. Smile
