Happy New Year!

I think most of our members have probably already reached 2012, but I thought I'd make a special thread anyway. It's probably near mid-day on 1 January in Australia and shortly after midnight across Europe, but in the Americas we still have a little more to go. Regardless of what time zone you're in, however, I hope that everyone is able to do something special to mark the end of the old year and the beginning of the new, even it's something small (sometimes those can be the nicest things).

It's certainly been a tumultuous year for us as a community, but it says a lot to me about our strength and connection that we have stuck together. We passed the old forum's post count in 10 months (compared to 26 months) and the number of high-posting members has dramatically increased. I feel very proud to say that despite a sometimes painful move, we are going into the new year stronger than we came into this one, thanks to all the wonderful new members we have and to the number of people who have been posting regularly.

That was a breathtaking fireworks show! Sadly the Times Square celebration in New York doesn't do fireworks, but they showed brief clips of celebrations around the world (including London) and those all had fireworks. I felt rather jealous, particularly since instead of fireworks I had to watch Jenny McCarthy call people "cutie patootie" and make out with cops for the second year in a row.

ANYWAY!! HAPPY NEW YEAR (ms Sophie!)

hope all of you had a great celebration!

the sky here was covered in smoke and all around was fireworks D: (scary! not all stand 15-100 meters away, just saying, and protecting glasses? no one here have heard about that LOL (sarcastic LOL btw)). Me and my sister was just waiting for the dragon to arrive, but it seems we don't have any troublemaking hobbits around herexD LOL!

well, just hope the world doesn't end so we can enjoy THE FREAKING HOBBIT MOVIE!!
