Mayoral Elections - Polls Closed

I've added Kafria to the debate thread; hopefully she'll turn up again before election day! Hopefully Orwell will be able to restrain himself during public appearances or we might have another scandal.

And a shame Squach and Ally have been absent, there is no one to represent the 'youth' and I'm pretty sure one of them would have nominated the other, they were thick as thieves.

Hey, Squach might be the youngest, but Tinuviel, Lorient, and myself are all younger than Ally (and Saradoc, wherever he went off to )!

Well yeah younger, but somehow more responsible seeming....

Eldorion just seems older because he is so intelligent. I doubt these elections will make a real change to the ruling elite. So I'm left with no choice to nominate the one they will dislike the most.

I'm torn between nominating young Squach, mischievous Ally or Sandra the pole. When's the deadline for nominations again?

How is "mischievous Ally" getting along, btw? Hope things have sorted themselves out.

Nominations can be made anytime before the polls open, but the nominee will need to recognize their nomination and post in the DEBATE YOUR CANDIDATES thread in the Off-Topic forum no later than 15 December in order to be included on the ballot.

BTW, it's great to see you around again! Give my best to Ally and Squach if you have the chance.

Also, I think that we may need a policy about individuals certain families all voting for the same people, because that has notably skewed the nominations so far.

POLLS ARE OPEN AND WE WELCOME YOU TO THE THIRD AND FINAL STAGE OF THE FORUMSHIRE ELECTIONS!

First of all, here's the list of official candidates. These people were nominated and also survived the media circus and the ringer of the public debate. They are listed in alphabetical order.

The way to vote is simple. All you have to do is send a PM to me (Eldo) saying which candidate you want to vote for. Polls will be open until Sunday evening, or when everyone active who we hope will participate can reasonably be expected to have had a chance to vote. Still, try to be timely; we don't want to miss the date for the inauguration!

Please bear in mind a few simple rules for voting: you can only vote for one of the above four candidates, and you can only vote once for yourself and/or your "family" on Forumshire. However, you are allowed to vote for yourself, unlike during the nomination process (provided you are a candidate). Good luck to all, and may the best candidate win!
