Hmm, perhaps not "Spammer Most Excellent", but a new surname would do.. like Banks

Congrats on your first spamathon Anne which Ringrotten and I have just, spoiled. Oh.

Where is everyone? Hiding? Orwell? Hello?! Ally? Saradoc? Chris? Pip? Baingil? Kafria? Hello?

I heard a tale once, when I was a bairn, about the Faery Folk. There was a McTyrant who was a bit over fond of his buckie, even by McTyrant standards, and one day he came back to his village in Dunbinsober, just on the border of Teutcher Land (but definetly outside, they were no Teutchers the McTyrants!), and there was no one there. The entire village was as quiet as the grave. Well naturally this upset him, so he went into the empty pub and drank all the buckie and had a whale of a time for a week or so, then when he woke up another week or so later he was still alone.
He wandered the empty streets for days finding not a soul, not even a bird in the sky, then he heard a voice, sweet and sultry singing;

"He drank buckie from the bottle, he drunk buckie from the teat,
He drank when it wasn't suitable, he drank lying in the street.
He drank for his breakfast, he drank for lunch and tea,
He thought it would last, he believed 'the buckie cannae harm me'.
But the magic of buckie is quite different from the magic of common beer.

For buckie is brewed by wizards, who one should never trust,
For it can turn you into a lizard, or fill you with uncontrollable lust.
Its made as a deal with us, the Faery Folk for the recipe is ours,
So though you may shout and cuss, though you may run for hours
You are in the Faery Land now and your buckied spirit is ours!"

Maybe its happened to me! Maybe everyone is fine, posting away in Forumshire wondering where I have got to? Arghhhhhhhhh!

Perhaps everyone else is posting in a forumshire on an alternative-timeline? Or in one of those pesky alternative realities. And we are just the stragglers left behind!

I'm sure it will; there's always perodical low activity, when people are too busy to bother login or post! I myself often just look at the threads without loging on!

No worries; I like to disappear offline for a while every so often so people think I have a social life...or occasionally something does pop up which limits my internetwebs time

Orwell popped in and told Wisey and me (in tears mind!) that he doesn't even know anyone called "Ally" - not anymore, anyhow. I think he's upset!

This is not really a complaint, only a question, but I did not know where to place it. I guess it could be a complaint that there is no obvious place to ask my question. Anyway, why do you guys subtitle Forumshire as "The Hobbit Movie Forum"? I know you discuss the upcoming movies (every once in a while ) but this place offers so much more. Isn't it misleading for new folk? How about, "Forumshire, Free Spirits Welcome"?
