I have found from past experience this is not necessarily the most reliable way to not miss important appointments. Hence the dwarf-alarm. Very effective as you have to get up in the morning as the little buggers hard to catch. And the only way to get him to shut up shouting about gold is to bash him on the helmet with a mallett. By which time no matter how buckied I was upon going to sleep I find I am quite awake.
