Re: Born of hope
While you're at it, watch The Hunt for Gollum, the sister-project of BoH which is also available completely free on YouTube. Personally I prefer TH4G but they're both worth a watch!
Re: Born of hope
DVDs only cost $1 in Bali, so no big loss. Rather watch it on a big screen, my labtop aint that big
But thanks Eldo i forgot about the hunt for Gollum

use firefox as your browser, install one of the many video download addons and you can Download it from youtube and burn it onto dvd to watch elsewhere.

Re: Born of hope
Welcome back, Chris! I've probably missed something during my absence, but how did you find us again?

Re: Born of hope
Good for them! I wonder if they'll match or pass The Hunt for Gollum's 8 million-plus views. Most people on Tolkien forums seem to prefer BoH (I believe I'm in the minority on that), but TH4G was released first.
Re: Born of hope
I like TH4G better (probably because I can't stand the wigs in BoH or Gilraen. She just looks older than they make her sound like she is!)

Re: Born of hope
I'll put up with the dodgy wigs thanks to the dialogue in BoH more readily than I can put up with the dialugue in PJ's despite all the flash effects.

Re: Born of hope
I really should get round to watching these at some point...
I wonder if The Hobbit will have a similar effect? (Beyond feature length tributes to Thorin's hair)

They're pretty good. I convinced my mom to watch TH4G with me and despite not being a LOTR fan at all she enjoyed it.

Though maybe you should get Figg and/or Norc involved, and make a liberal one too.

Re: Born of hope
That's actually a great idea, Petty. Either that or some sort of scene-by-scene annotation.
