Looked those up; seem to be natural rather than man-made. But they cut homes into some weird stuff, that's for sure. Somehow I wouldn't be surprised to see meerkats in those parts.

Re: Just...................whatever
I am really getting interested in the great mansions of 5th avenue in New York during the late nineteenth century, the Vanderbilts and the Morgans and all the super rich who made palaces of art in their homes. seen some old photos and if you had a time machine those rooms would blow your socks off. I think some buildings were demolished though in the 20s and 40s which seems impossible because they were works of art in their own right.

There's one or two left. converted into museums and such so you can't see them in the original state. But those left are not the best by far.

Can you imagine being on the demolition crew? I don't think I could do it.
There's a company not too far from where I live that goes to demolition sites and collects artifacts. Some amazing stuff.

I wouldn't be able to do it either. but I guess in the 20s and 40s they were into modernism and thought the Belle Epochians were old fashioned and stuffy.

That, to me, is life worth living. Not in cost but in sheer beauty. The skill, love & desire in making these things that once are gone will never be seen again. Its heart breaking when you lose it. I love architecture to the point I feel its alive. You lay a hand on it & you can feel its pulse. I feel physical pain to see such magnificent creations, beautiful imaginations that came from someone's mind & heart be just destroyed like a dirty old outside toilet

Searches must be geographically referenced these days: I tried typing in the same thing and nearly all of them came up from New York.

That's the other one I got wrong but I knew as soon as I committed.
Re: Just...................whatever
Yeah, I got those two wrong. Frodo only mentioned 3, though he said "and others that I can't see". But 13 seemed out of control. Poor Rosy.
You KNEW the beacons, or you guessed well?

That's pretty good.
I was a bit flumoxed because Halifirien is a bit far from Edoras, but I knew it had to be at the end, not the beginning. After that it was a 50/50 guess and I lost.
