The new Pure Publications back issues archive
Since Photobucket has chosen to break the embeds of almost all photos hosted on their own service, the records of Pure Publications' esteemed papers The Daily Purist and News of the Pure have been exceedingly difficult to find in recent months. However, I am pleased to bring you the (I think) complete records of them, courtesy of Petty pointing me in the right direction and then looking through the past seven years or so of images on his Photobucket account page by page.
I'll post the DP and NotP archives separately, in part because I've put off sleep long enough to do just the DP. Will hopefully get to the latter in relatively short order.

At this point the numbering in the original filenames ends but I've simply extended it here.

Re: The new Pure Publications back issues archive
And that's it for the Daily Purist archive. More recent papers have been exclusively News of the Pure, which I'll get to ... at some point.
Re: The new Pure Publications back issues archive
Fantastic !! We are so privileged to have our own 'dailies' Having a newspaper sure does put the stamp of realism on this place

My pleasure, Petty! Thank you for having made so many and for telling me where to find them.

That might be because all of them up to issue no. 31 or possibly 32 are from 2011. Issue no. 33, about Pretty and Mirabela's wedding, was from very early 2012, which I remember because said wedding was contemporaneous with the writing of the first Needlehole Mystery, in which the two of them appeared.

Wow, it was quite prolific when it started!

Re: The new Pure Publications back issues archive
{{{ If memory serves there are a few stray later issues of the Daily Purist, but due to delivery issues (someone kept stealing the bottom half of the paper!) Pure Publications decided to mainly deliver the larger NotP to Forumshire- this had nothing whatsoever do to with the printers and staff of the NotP being too drunk to produce a daily edition, or even a weekly one, or these days a monthly one! And for some time they largely covered birthday editions. }}}

Re: The new Pure Publications back issues archive
Definitely.
The Creative Corner hadn't entirely taken off yet in 2011 so I think a lot of the creative energies that were later directed into forum fanfic went into alt accounts, newspapers, and other forms of what might be termed interactive fiction directly through the medium of forum posts. You can go back through some of our older threads and find entire pages of just Petty or Odo alt accounts talking to each other and a lot of them are still absolutely hilarious IMO.

Re: The new Pure Publications back issues archive
Simul with Petty.
The most recent papers that I saw in your Photobucket stream were all NotP editions of varying length, but I'd already decided to do the DP and NotP separately, in part because the NotP will be more complicated to sort and organize since most of them are multi-page and (I think) don't have the same kind of continuous numbering in their filenames, though I didn't look that closely.

Re: The new Pure Publications back issues archive
I am very pleased to now begin the process of reposting the old News of the Pure back issues, which I would call Petty's Pure Publications' magnum opus, except that he/they have produced so many contenders for that title.
